Bart's Space Book review

The HelpThe Help by Kathryn Stockett

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thought this was a wonderful book about some pretty remarkable women and the management of their Households and lives. Now I know that this was mainly told from the point of view's of the maids, I really found a particular interest in Mrs. Smith who was the main homeowner in the story.

In her first few years of having maids she seemed always"Vexed" if a situation wasn't handled right, Such as dinner not being cooked to a certain "standard" and would sometimes go through at least two or three maids a week until she could obtain the right one and her dutifully faith full husband would be right there to offer his support and advice to validate her, "Unless he was out of town on business.

As the story progressed However there were times where she was left as the one who ended up doing the chores and Housework and after just two days she would be completely spent and then want more help to come crawling back to aid her.

In the end I think it was Mrs. Smith who learned a valuable lesson when she was finally able to learn to "treat others how they would want to be treated" and that in turn gave her a happier more well adjusted home life.

Now I will most likely never come into a very large amount of money like Mrs. Smith had. I just believe that a life is best lived by serving and loving people over oneself and the gain of "material" things.

And that I believe Is the main core focus in this book.

Bart’s Space Movie Review

Hey Everyone,

First off I’d Like to apologize for the lack of posts, I was sick for a bout a month and a half. Starting out with Larengitis, then Broncitis, Then pumonia. feeling Much Better though.

Second Bart’s Space was Down for About a Month, I talked to my administrator just a few Minues ago and he told me that the server Database had been Reset due to inavertent button pushing by little fingers.

So Now on to my Movie review

The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.

After vewing this film I feel pretty Much the same as I did when I review the Second one.

I know the world is going down ” The proverbial toilet” I just would like to know why the filmmakers can’t just have the action without all the romance. Can’t they just kiss and leave the rest up to the imagination.

I mean young kids watch this thing and I guess It would just fly over their heads, but kids are pretty impressionable now days so ya never know.

I also didn’t like that they just had to throw an “f-bomb” in there. It Just makes me “So grateful the positive influence that society has on our kids “Not”.

With all that said It was a pretty mediocre film minus the robot action sequences.

Overall 2/5 Stars)

“Would I own this, Probably not, glad I only rented it.”

Stay tuned when I review Kung fu panda 2

Last Bees Game of the season

Last Night, I went to My last “Bees” game of the season, this time with the family.

My Mom, Beau Amber and Maizy J, along with me and my stepdad.

It was a fun game, but what made it really fun this time was we ran into our old friends The Tompsons who now have a sweet little baby boy name Gavin.

So all in all It was a fun night, the only thing that would’ve made it nicer is if we’d won.

The Bees lost BIG to the Colorado Springs Sky Socks 17-7

A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

This Movie reminded me of a cross between ”Born Identity” and “Mission Impossible” Where it had the pacing and Mystery Of Mission, and the Identity crisis of Borne.

It actually became allot clearer when I watched it through the second time as to How the story fit together.

“Overall a great Mystery/ thriller”

To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary fourteen-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette’s syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers.

I Thought this was another Gripping and Unique Sci-fi trip this time From Richard Paul Evans.

The way it started out reminded me of the “Twilight saga” Where the action starts out slow and ramps up near the end, like the way a Murder mystery does.

It may seem a bit predictable at times as well, but quickly makes up for it with a solid story and an action packed ending.

So even if your not a Sci-fi lover or a mystery lover, this was one book I couldn’t put down.!!!

Richard Does it again!!!! This Time in science Fiction.

I also Found out this is going to be a series, so I can’t wait for the sequel.

A chameleon named Rango winds up in Dirt, a lawless town in desperate need for a new sheriff.

I thought this was a pretty funny animated Western. The thing that surprised me was the amount of Crude language that was riddled through this script, I mean I know this is a western and they may have used that kind of language in those days, This is however a “Kids” Movie and I don’t think they need to be subjected to that.

My Other “Peeve” is that the pacing was a bit too slow in the beginning I mean again I know they did it to give it that” Western feel”, But they could’ve sped it up a little.

Other than that I thought that this was a Great Western with great animation and solid story.

As I finished this It really, Was astonishing to me the tenacity, grit, and Tremendous faith that these Pioneers had to Leave their Homes behind and Travel for months through Rough and treacherous terrain, not to mention the inclement weather conditions they faced. They Had to be a stout and hardy People to endure this trek.

I’ve Rode over similar terrain in a Four wheel Drive and I can catch a glimpse of How Tough it must’ve have been for them, But to Do it in a wagon!!! It Just Blows me away!!!!

I also can’t believe what an emotional toll the Families of the trail scouters must’ve payed being away from their families for weeks and months,
That Just Shows me How strong the women were as well, because they never knew how long their Husbands would be away, not to mention having to care for their children and having to deal with very meager rations for themselves, children and animals.

So I Just can’t Say Enough about this Book and my love for My Pioneer ancestors for settling this land in which I live.
Simply amazing Story and people!!!

After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals.

It was one of those Marvel Movies that was brand new to me Because It introduced Captain America,

a superhero that I didn’t really know, But what really made me want to see it was my grandma Webb. She gave it a “Ringing Endorsement”, So I thought If grandma saw it “It has to be sweet”.

Well after I saw it I concur because It was awesome!!! It also introduces some characters that appear in later Marvel Franchises, But I won’t say any more than that because you’ll know once you see it.

“Overall a Great film that’s a great ride from start to finish.”

The life of a businessman begins to change after he inherits six penguins, and as he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland, his professional side starts to unravel.

I Thought at first that this was just going to be one of those Cute Special-effects kind of Movies with a sub-par story, But as the move progressed I thought the story was actually really good.

It’s a Family Friendly comedy that actually used “Real Penguins” which I thought were very talented.

I guess I’m so used now to seeing CGI animals that I’m starting to forget what the “Real ones look like”.

It also had great Messages “You can be a family no matter what species you are.” And the Most important thing in life is your family.”

A group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zookeeper (Kevin James) find love — without opting to leave his current job for something more illustrious. woman.

I went to a Drive-in last night with some friends and saw this along with “Mr. Poppers Penguins”.

So For this first review I thought this was a pretty funny farce using animals to play matchmaker for a bumbling zookeeper, and The Formula works pretty well, although at times I felt the pacing of the story was a little slow.

Overall I thought this was a decent film that worked well for drive-in Fare.
